Meet Our Founder

Nick Giannasca
CEO & Director of R&D

Nick Giannasca, the owner and driving force behind dxAquaria, brings nearly a decade of expertise in microbiology, cell biology, and molecular biology.

His passion for biology extends beyond the lab to creative pursuits like music and stained glass, as well as a deep love for caring for animals and aquariums.

By merging his professional experience in developing in-vitro diagnostic assays for human diseases with the needs of the aquarium industry, Nick founded dxAquaria. His mission is to deliver precise, reliable diagnostics to aquarium hobbyists and professionals, enabling them to detect and treat diseases confidently and effectively.

With dxAquaria, Nick aims to provide accessible and understandable lab results that empower caretakers to Care with Confidence.

Meet Our Board

Haley Fitch

Haley serves as a board advisor for dxAquaria and is a key driver in company trajectory and purpose. Haley’s keen sense of care for animals puts our motto into action – her knowledge of life at both the macro and micro scale assist aquarium owners to Care with Confidence in a practical manor in her job in aquatic service and beyond. The expert-level of practical care bring a grounding element to the company in order to help dxAquaria meet its goals of bringing accessible care to hobbyists and professionals alike.

Haley holds a B.S. in Animal Behavior from Towson University and is a published author within the aquatics research field.

Tanner Smith

Tanner serves as a board advisor for dxAquaria and plays an integral role in technical application. From aquarium service to automation, Tanner has spent years focusing on user engagement and education within the aquatics industry in order to bolster coral aquaculture and the hobbyist community within the DMV region.

Tanner holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Towson University.
